About Me

I am a professional illustrator and fine artist for twenty years.  I was born in The Bronx, New York City.

My artistic ability was first recognized by my mother.  My parents have supported and encouraged my talent all of my life, I owe everything to them.

I studied illustration at the Fashion Institute of technolgy.  My work has been published in magazines, books, college periodicals and sold to collectors throughout the country. In 2000, with six colleagues in New York city, we created the artistic movement - The New Bohemian Renaissance - NuBo - and had many succesful exhibition.  I am a member of the Urban Individualist collective, created by Ms. Helene Ruiz in 2009, and have exhibited across the country.

In 2005, I relocated to Los Angeles.  I have been an artist- In- residence at The Rock Rose Gallery in Highland Park. since 2007.  My painting teacher and mentor is Ms. Margaret Garcia.  And In 2010, I was involved in the Sunset Strip GuitarTown project, and awarded a ten foot Gibson guitar to paint for public viewing.

In addition to painting, I have been an indepedent contractor for art education organization's for twenty years.  I have taught in schools throughout New York, Washington DC, and now Los Angeles.  I have taught in the education departments of The Bronx Museum of the Arts and The Guggenheim.  I am currently a volunteer docent at The California African American Museum in LA.


Fortunately, I Am working on a multitude of projects.  Continuosly working on my craft and exploring new media and technique.  Always expanding my visual and sonic vocabulary, to the point of living in creative bliss, this is my life mission.
